In this way, the poses provide an opportunity to consciously cultivate a wholesome, joyful relationship with the body. With practice, mindful yoga supports wise attention in all of our daily activities. Open to adults of all ages and all levels of experience. No need to register, just come.

The breath is a powerful tool we can use to calm the surface of the mind, to purify the body and mind, and increase our vitality. Pranayama is the practice of exploring these various breath techniques. Pranayama naturally deepens awareness and prepares the mind for meditation.

Home Practice Audio CDs by Nancy Boler

As wonderful as yoga can be, it can be difficult to practice at home on your own. Knowing this, I have created a few audio recordings for you to listen to and follow. Listed below are a variety of audio recordings that guide you through a sequence of yoga poses. Three of them are one-hour practices and one offers two shorter sequences.

The CDs are available at any of my yoga classes that I teach – they can also be sent to you in the mail. I also include a sheet of images of each pose in the sequence.

I offer these CDs to support your home practice so that your yoga experience can grow and flourish. Feel free to contact me with questions. Send me your home address if you would like them sent to you in the mail.

October 2010

This one-hour sequence begins with spinal warm-ups. Then down dog to plank pose to locust pose. Standing poses include yoga mudra, chair pose, kaliasana, tree pose, warrior I, wide legged forward bend, warrior II. Seated poses include bhaddakonasana, janu sirsasana, reclined twist. Savasana.

November 2010

This one-hour sequence begins with legs wide apart and half circle pose. Then down dog, three-legged down dog. Standing poses include warrior I, II, III, parshvokonasana, triangle pose. On the belly backbend series includes sphink, cobra, upward facing dog, pigeon pose. Savasana.

February 2011

This one-hour sequence begins with bhaddakonasana and boat pose. Hip opener warm-ups while reclined on the back. Down dog to pigeon pose to full pigeon and seated twist. Tree pose. Two variations of sun salutation are included along with standing poses of triangle pose, parshvokonasana, twisted lunge, warrior I. Fish pose, reclined knee down twist. Savasana.

May 2011

This recording has two shorter practices. A half-hour calming sequence that focuses on forward bends with very few standing poses. Includes hip openers, supported forward bend, reclined spinal twist, savasana. A half-hour energizing sequence that is a mindful yoga workout. Lots of standing poses, movement and "core" work.
